Frequently
Asked Questions
Q: Do professional drug and alcohol interventions work?
A: Yes! Interventions are a highly effective tool for getting alcoholics and addicts into treatment for the help they need.
Q: How do interventions work?
First, the professional interventionist will meet with the concerned family members, friends and/or co-workers. Together they will discuss and devise a plan to persuade the addict to get the professional help that they need. In this initial phase, letters are written; boundaries and consequences are established and set. The intervention is then rehearsed; exhausting every possible scenario and response.
The next step is the actual intervention, and a professional interventionist best facilitates this. The loved one is confronted with the letters and the outpouring of love from family and friends. Their chemical dependency is discussed as well as the effect it has had on the family and friends. They are given the choice of accepting the loving gift of sobriety or facing the consequences.
All of our professional interventions, whether it be family or executive will be customized by the professional interventionist assessing your situation.
